 
CAE offers this course on a sliding scale
(based on income). The course can be anywhere
from $5 per class ($25 total for the course)
to $35 per class ($175 total for the course)
at the highest. To determine your particular
fee you can call our office between 10 AM

This class is free for survivors of relationship/domestic
violence, sexual assault, or childhood abuse.

CAE's award-winning
self-defense program is offered at different
times through-out the year. The course meets
once a week, for 5 weeks. Click

All classes are taught by instructors who
have been trained through our organization.
There are usually 2-4 instructors per class
and approximately 20-30 students per class.

The curriculum focuses on violence-prevention.
Students of all skill and ability levels will
learn basic self-defense information including
physical techniques, ways to get out of different
grabs & holds, verbal exercises, roleplays
& discussions about dealing with attackers
who are strangers, acquantainces or intimates.

This course is open to all women & transgender
people (18 & up). Free childcare is available
to all students. Students are diverse in age,
body type, background and ability. With prior
notice, we are able to give added attention
in class to students with varying abilities.
Unfortunately, we are on the second floor
and our space is not handicapped-accessible.

To join our
next 5-week self-defense course, you must
call us to pre-register. Our office is open
for callers from 10 AM to 6 PM, Monday - Friday.
After you have pre-registered we will send
you the appropriate forms in the mail.
