CAE is proud to announce the launching of KIAI: Gathering Energy for Empowerment. Kiai is a youth-led group of young women and trans youth ages 13-20 actively working against injustice and oppression through education, skills-building, and direct action. We're striving for change in our communities and the world.

With support from the FAR Fund, CAE has recently expanded and restructured the teen activism program. The program is now run by a steering committee made up entirely of youth. Currently, the steering committee is researching a major initiative, and will then facilitate larger group decisions around tactics and activities.

KIAI is open to all interested young women & transgender teens from across New York City.

Four orientation and training sessions will be held each year to cycle in new youth membership and leadership.
